The Graduate Student Government will host a town hall for SPH students. We will talk about student leadership positions, GSGA student awards, student clubs, and more! We encourage you to join us and share with your classmates.


CUNY Votes!

Please be aware that there will be 5 ballot proposals in this year’s elections. Two are on voting: Same Day Voter Registration and No-Excuse Absentee Voting.  To get more information on these ballot proposals, you can go to NYC Votes here.  This site includes a collection of pros and cons for each of the five proposals.

Please Remember these Important Dates:

  • Early Voting: Sat, October 23, 2021 – Sun, October 31, 2021
  • Find Your Poll site and View a Sample Ballot here
  • Absentee Ballot Application Deadline: Mon, November 1, 2021 (in person)
  • You can request an absentee ballot online here.
  • General Election and Deadline to Return Absentee Ballot: Tuesday, November 2, 2021
  • Deadline for Board of Elections to receive absentee ballots: Tuesday, November 9, 2021

Quantitative Tutoring

CUNY SPH offers students access to quantitative tutoring services to provide students a stronger basis for and understanding applied statistical concepts, report generation, and interpretation of results. Such services cover but are not limited to R, SAS, and SPSS programming, model building, hypothesis testing, statistical regression, and data visualization.

The CUNY SPH Counseling and Wellness Centerprovides free and confidential counseling, webinars and offers a place for students to come together and support each other. 

Hours of remote operation:

Mondays 10 am – 7:30 pm
Tuesdays 10 am – 8:30 pm
Wednesdays 10 am – 7:30 pm
Thursdays 10 am – 6:30 pm
Fridays CLOSED

Student Emergency Fund

If you are a current CUNY SPH student-facing short-term financial hardship, we encourage you to submit an application to the Student Emergency Fund.

To access the application, you will need to log into SharePoint using your SPH login (sph\______) credentials.  Reach out to HelpDesk@sph.cuny.edu if you require assistance with SharePoint.

Free Film Screening with Filmmaker, Sébastien Lifshitz

Albertine Cinémathèque presents LITTLE GIRL / Petite Fille is the moving portrait of 7-year-old Sasha, who has always known that she is a girl. Realized with delicacy and intimacy, Lifshitz’s documentary explores the emotional challenges, everyday feats, and small moments in Sasha’s life, while her family works to confront outdated norms and find affirmation in a small community of rural France.


17th Annual Women’s Leadership Virtual Conference

Save the date for this year’s Women’s Leadership Conference, open to the entire CUNY community. This conference used to take place in person, and the seats were limited. However, now it is open to all, and we strongly encourage participation from across the student body. This event is also not limited to those who identify as women.

Population Health Informatics Innovation, Research, and Education

Mission: To equip future public health professionals and leaders with the knowledge to address 21st-century challenges in urban communities and beyond. Its purpose is to form a coalition whereby graduate students can share ideas and facilitate the exchange of knowledge, information, and resources to advance the efforts being made in the field of population health.

International Students Club

Mission: Our purpose is to fulfill the needs of international students to create an environment dedicated to international students’ support. ISC aims to provide students a safe haven to discuss issues related to student lives, offer opportunities for leadership development, and to encourage networking. ISC shall use available fundraising capabilities to actively promote the professional development of international students.

Sustainable SPH Club

Mission: A student outlet for sharing information and concerns regarding the impact of the health of the environment on human health. It is also the student arm of the sustainability committee at CUNY SPH, which endeavors to help CUNY SPH meet or exceed the sustainability goals of Sustainable CUNY. The goals of this club include: implementing and sustaining a composting system at CUNY SPH, campaigning for more energy-efficient practices, a B.Y.O.Cutlery initiative, etc. This also includes information sessions with faculty, documentary screenings, and networking events.
