We are pleased to present “Hitting Home,” a film that is both compelling and thought-provoking, in honor of February’s theme of teen dating violence. This gripping story explores the complicated and frequently disregarded problem of teen dating violence, illuminating its widespread occurrence and significant effects on both individuals and communities.

We believe that “Hitting Home” has the potential to spark meaningful conversations among our student community. After the screening, we’ll have an opportunity for a virtual discussion where participants can share their thoughts, insights, and questions.

This is an opportunity for health equity start-ups to present their solutions and their missions to multiple stakeholders.

Now in its fourth year, the Public Health Innovation Accelerator is an excellent way for entrepreneurs to receive mentoring and consulting that can help them develop and scale their products and services to help solve public health challenges.

Public health officials are warning that the Air Q

Public health officials are warning that the Air Quality Index (AQI) in New York State and New York City will be deteriorating over the next few days due to wildfire smoke coming from Canada.

Conditions are expected to be worse in Western and Central New York State, and in New York City by Wednesday night the AQI will be “Moderate.” However, conditions can rapidly change so be aware of this and how air pollution may impact you. Vulnerable groups include the elderly, children, and people with breathing and/or heart problems.

You can take the following precautions to help protect yourself and those you care about, including wearing a high-quality mask like an N95 or KN95, avoiding spending time outdoors, and not exerting yourself. You can also stay indoors, and use a HEPA or air purifier as well. Masks will be available at various places around the city.
