National Suicide Prevention Month Event

Student Wellness Counselor Sherry Adams will offer a virtual presentation on suicide and depression awareness and resources, followed by Q & A, and ending with a candle lighting and silent vigil to remember those who died by suicide. GSGA Voter Mobilization Event
This year, the GSGA Voter Mobilization Event will consist of a documentary called: “All-in: The Fight for Democracy.” This documentary film was directed and produced by Liz Garbus and Lisa Cortés. The documentary takes a look at the history, and current activism against voter suppression; barriers to voting that most people don’t even know is a threat to their basic rights as citizens of the United States. We also will have Olivia Brady NYC Votes Youth Engagement Coordinator from the New York City Campaign Finance Board who will offer a brief overview of the importance of voting, voter registration, and the absentee ballot.
