Queer and Trans Health Justice Network
Mission: The Queer and Trans Health Justice Network (QTHJN) at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Policy is a graduate student-led space grounded in equity, inclusion, and community care. We believe public health must center the experiences, needs, and leadership of queer and trans people.
We create opportunities for LGBTQ+ students to grow as professionals, share knowledge, and support one another. We are committed to being a place where members can learn about how public health systems, policies, and research affect our communities. Plus, how we can work together to effect change.
We are committed to developing resources that uplift queer and trans students at SPH. We ensure our community’s voices, needs, and priorities are heard and valued within the school. Through networking, mentorship, and social connection, we build solidarity. Through education and advocacy, we strengthen our capacity to challenge inequities and promote health justice for all queer and trans people.
